“Your husband paid us to kill you” – Chilling words greet Durban woman
A horrifying incident unfolded at Winkelspruit Beach, leaving Durban beautician Sarika Bridgmohan, 33, traumatized after her husband and two alleged accomplices attempted to kill her. This is according to a report in The Post.
As she recounted the harrowing experience, she described how her husband ignored her cries for help as he scrolled through her banking app, depleting her accounts.
In a swift and commendable operation, Reaction Unit SA (Rusa) head Prem Balram and his team managed to apprehend the suspects, including Sarika’s husband, Ramith Aneerudh, and his two associates in Coffee Bay, Eastern Cape.
Balram shared, “We traveled more than 600km, in rugged terrain, after receiving a tip-off that the suspects were there.”
Bridgmohan detailed the terrifying moments she endured, alleging that she was kidnapped, strangled with a rope, and left for dead by her husband and his accomplices.
She bravely recounted how she managed to escape from a moving vehicle, preventing what could have been a tragic end to her life.
Expressing her fear for her safety, Bridgmohan revealed that her alleged attackers were still at large, a month after the incident.
Despite the ordeal, she sought assistance from Rusa to track down the suspects after receiving threatening calls over the weekend.
Colonel Robert Netshiunda confirmed that a case had been registered at the eManzimtoti police station, highlighting the severity of the charges against the suspects.
