Sundowns Surpass Spurs

Sundowns successfully avoided the embarrassment suffered by Orlando Pirates at the hands of Cape Town Spurs, who recently had a 1-0 win over them this season.

The Wednesday night match at Loftus Versfeld saw Sundowns  come out on top as they defeated Spurs 3-0. Goals from Grant Kekana and Sipho Mbule had them 2-0 up in the first half.

In the second half, substitute Peter Shalulile left a lasting impact by securing a stoppage-time winner, his fourth goal of the season, assisted by Lebohang Maboe.

This victory further proves Sundowns dominance in the PSL. The Brazilians are currently on a impressive 11-match winning streak.

Holding an eight-point lead over second-placed Cape Town City, Masandawana has proven their worth. Scoring 24 goals and conceding only three times. Sundowns are the top-performing attacking and defending team in the league.

Mbule’s goal, which was a stunning long-range shot that beat Spurs goalkeeper Neil Boshoff and found the roof of the net in the 23rd minute, showcased the former SuperSport United player’s unbelievable skill.

Mbule was Sundowns main MVP on Wednesday night.
