Two conniving women lured man to his death

The Pretoria High Court has handed down sentences to two women who were involved in a gruesome crime that took place four years ago.

Lebogang Tshabalala, 29, and Everjoy Sibanda, 22, posed as sex workers in order to lure a 38-year-old man to his death.

They were sentenced alongside their co-accused, Lucky Vincent Motholo, Kagiso Alfread Leleme Mathlabe, and Kamogelo Modise.

According to the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA), the two women were pretending to be prostitutes near a petrol station in Bokfontein.

The victim approached them and they informed him of their occupation.

He withdrew R900 and bought some groceries before returning to where the women were standing.

Unbeknownst to him, the three other men were hiding in the nearby bushes.

Once they were in the bushes, the victim’s hands were tied, and he was assaulted.

The assailants demanded his PIN code, hoping to withdraw money from his account.

However, their attempts failed as the victim had given them the wrong pin.

The women then went back to the garage to try and withdraw money, but to no avail.

The next day, the victim’s mother reported him missing when he failed to return home and could not be reached.

Tragically, his body was discovered in the bushes.
