Njabulo Blom, the dynamic midfielder for Kaizer Chiefs, has one significant area that requires improvement before he can be considered a top performer.
Blom is the PSL’s James Milner thanks to his versatility. Although he settled into his right-back position after starting his career as a wide player, he is now recognized as a skilled holding midfielder. His positional discipline is good, but he doesn’t have a strong track record of signing the referee’s notebook.

The 23-year-old has 94 senior appearances for Kaizer Chiefs and has already racked up 15 yellow cards. His game will need to address this problem because it could cost the Glamour Boys in crucial contests. That equals one caution every six games. In 69 games in the DStv Premiership, he has received 12 yellow cards.
Having said all of that, Blom was the finest player on the field on October 29 when Chiefs defeated Pirates in the Soweto Derby. Amakhosi will have a much better chance of winning football games if they can keep him at the club and on the field.
