They were wearing bulletproof vests and ready for war – witnesses narrate horror shooting scene

At least four people were shot and killed in the early hours of New Year’s Day.

The shooting took place in Block P, a neighborhood north of Pretoria.

The Gauteng police have launched an investigation into the incident.

According to reports, the suspects responsible for the shooting were heavily armed, wielding rifles, and wearing black bulletproof vests. The motive behind the attack remains unknown at this stage.

No suspects have been apprehended yet, leaving the community and authorities eager for any information that could shed light on the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Colonel Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi, the spokesperson for the Gauteng police, provided further details about the shooting.

She revealed that the police responded to the incident in the early hours of January 1st.

Upon arrival, they discovered four individuals with gunshot wounds lying on the street, one of whom was a 14-year-old teenage girl.

The police are currently working to piece together the events leading up to the shooting.

Nevhuhulwi urged anyone with information to come forward and assist with the investigation.

She emphasized the importance of community involvement in solving crimes, stating, “The police request anyone who may have information that can assist with the investigation to contact the Crime Stop Line at 08600 10111 or anonymously report tip-offs on MySapsApp.”
