Youth is Encouraged To Apply For Teaching Assistants Program’s Phase 4
Young people are encouraged to apply for teaching assistant positions during the upcoming application period. This will offer thousands of employment opportunities, by the Department of Basic Education and the South African government.
Applications for Phase 4 of the Presidential Youth Unemployment Initiative (PYEI), now known as the Basic Education Employment Initiative (BEEI), will be opened on 26 September 2022. More than 200 000 posts will be available.
Applications for these posts in the Basic Education sector will close on 16 October 2022.
Young individuals between the ages of 18 and 34 are invited to apply. Those who are hired will start work in February 2023.
The pre-application period, which started on 5 September 2022, enables anyone interested in applying to compile all the necessary paperwork.
The SAYouth.Mobi online recruitment system will accept applications for the posts for three weeks following the opening date.
There are no fees or requirements to access the website, either.
The youngsters who serve as education and general school helpers at various schools get valuable work skills and experience in addition to receiving a salary.
These young people’s future career trajectories will benefit from the experience and abilities they acquire via their numerous responsibilities at the schools they work at.
Who Is Eligible For the Phase 4 programme?
Youths that apply must be between the ages of 18 and 34.
Youth must live within a 5 km radius of the school (or 30 km radius if it is a small, micro, or farm school)
Education Assistant (EA) must have a Matric qualification
General School Assistants (GSA) does not need a Matric qualification
Those who were previously part of the initiative will not be able to apply for Phase 4 teaching assistant jobs.
Applicants must not be employed or participating.
