Sundowns shopping list contains THREE Kaizer Chiefs players

This Christmas, Mamelodi Sundowns will try to unleash their inner Grinch by snatching up three Kaizer Chiefs players.

Mamelodi Sundowns, the league’s reigning champions in South Africa, don’t just want to dominate, they also want to weaken competitors like Kaizer Chiefs.

By now, everyone is aware of Njabulo Blom’s popularity, both locally and possibly in some of Europe’s minor leagues, but he is not the only one.

SUNDOWNS INTERESTED IN NJABULO BLOM

Amakhosi would probably prefer to sell Blom to a richer European club, if they have to sell at all, but Sundowns won’t go away. They’re circling like vultures while the 22-year-old stalls on a new deal. Watch this space in January, because the Brazilians want Blom badly.

MDUDUZI SHABALALA

This would be an audacious swoop, and it’s not beyond the realms of possibility. Mdu Shabalala, one of the brightest teenage prospects in South Africa, signed a new deal with Amakhosi in June. That shouldn’t deter Sundowns though. They have deep pockets. Nothing quite like pinching a top youth prospect to annoy your rivals.

SUNDOWNS INTERESTED IN REEVE FROSLER

Frosler’s age profile fits the bill for Rhulani and the brazillians. He’s been rotating with Dillan Solomons this season, and perhaps the prospect of better cash and a new challenge might be tempting for the 24-year-old.

Right back is the current first-choice as things stand. Top player Thapelo Morena is 29 years old, therefore the Brazilians will be eager to strengthen that position with a younger player. Frosler has also had DStv Premiership success, with Bidvest Wits in 2017, and Rhulani would undoubtedly find that enticing.
