Sipho stabbed to death by ex-girlfriend
A 35-year-old woman from Mzinti near Komatipoort appeared before the Nkomazi Magistrate’s Court in Tonga on 3 October 2022. She allegedly killed her ex-lover. In the early hours of Sunday, Sipho Ngomane, who is also 35, allegedly went to his ex-girlfriend’s home. According to information, the woman eventually opened the door after he banged on it. It is also said that the two spoke.
Additionally, reports state that Sipho was later discovered by the suspect lying on the street at around 7:00 am with an upper-body stab wound.
According to the police investigation, the woman is suspected of stabbing him during their argument and leaving him outside her home. She apparently asked for assistance afterwards, yet she was still held accountable. The woman was arrested and charged with murder when the victim was brought to a hospital in Tonga but tragically died from his injuries.
In a separate instance, an eight-year-old child who had been reported missing at the police station in Elukwatini on Friday, 30 September 2022, was tragically discovered dead in Tjakstad on 2 September 2022.
His partially decomposed body was discovered in a street adjacent to his home after a fruitless search by the family and the police. Police currently wait for the findings of the post-mortem to ascertain the cause of death while the inquiry is ongoing.
