Shocking reason why a 17-year-old mother killed her child
Just as we are recovering from the shocking details of Dr. Nandipha and Thabo Bester’s crime spree scandal, we have been hit with yet another jaw-dropping incident. A 17-year-old girl has been arrested and is currently in police custody. This is after she allegedly killed her child and did the unthinkable, and the alleged reason behind the killing is beyond unimaginable.

The 17-year-old grade 10 learner was detained after she was accused of killing her child and disposing of him in a pit toilet. This shocking incident is said to have happened outside of Thohoyandou in Limpopo.
According to MDN news, on 6 April 2023, the baby’s father asked to visit the child, but the mother lied to him. She told him that the child was in Gauteng with the grandmother.

The story raised some suspicions and the baby’s father did not take the matter lightly. He then called the grandma in question to confirm that the child was with her, but he received a different story. He then realised that this child was not in Gauteng. Little did he know what was about to be unraveled about the whereabouts of his child.
The concerned father reported the matter to the police on 15 April 2023. Police then detained the mother and questioned her. She eventually cracked out of fear and gave the police the location of the child’s body. She was immediately arrested.
The shocking reason the teenager killed her child
It is alleged that the girl killed the child in cold blood to prove her love for a boyfriend. Often it is said that love is blind, however, this is plain stupidity. It is heartbreaking to witness the measures people will go to all in the name of love. She deserves to rot in jail for the senseless killing of an innocent child.
