Sead Ramovic confident TS Galaxy will escape bottom position

TS Galaxy coach Sead Ramovic is hopeful that his team will recover from a poor start to their Betway Premiership season, which has left them at the bottom of the table.

So far, the Mpumalanga-based team has not won a match, managing only one point from five games, with four losses and one draw.

They lost 2-0 to Orlando Pirates on Tuesday, extending their winless streak.

“We had some chances to score, but we didn’t, which makes it tough. I must give credit to Kamogelo Sebelebele; he received a second yellow card, but he is a top player and will be back after two games,” Ramovic said after the match.

He added that despite the loss, the team showed good character and played well, so they shouldn’t feel down about it.

“We will not feel sorry for ourselves. We played a good game and will keep going. If you play well and the results don’t come right away, you’re not too worried because the points will come.”

Ramovic thanked the fans for their support and promised to improve the situation and aim for a top-eight finish, as the team finished sixth last season.

“I promise our wonderful supporters that we will get points and fight for a top-eight spot. It looks bad now, but we need to stay positive because we are training well and playing well, and the results will come, no doubt.”

He also questioned why his team has had to play so many away games this season, noting that they have played five out of their seven matches away from home.

“Again, we are in a tough spot with seven away games out of eight. I’ve never seen this in any other league, but we will manage it. We have three more away games, but we will collect points and bounce back,” Ramovic concluded.

TS Galaxy will return to Mbombela Stadium to face Magesi FC in the Carling Knockout Cup quarterfinal on Sunday, 3 November, kicking off at 15:00.
