SASSA Grant Recipient is eligible for NSFAS 2023/2024 funding

If you are a SASSA Grant Recipient, and your household income is below R350,000 per year, you may qualify for NSFAS funding. This also applies to students with disabilities, whose household income must not exceed R600,000 per year.

Candidates Eligible For NSFAS Application 2023/2024

You may be eligible to apply for a NSFAS bursary for 2023 if you are a South African citizen planning to study at a public university or TVET college. To qualify, you must meet certain criteria.

Documents Needed for NSFAS Application 2023/2024

You will need to provide a copy of your ID or Birth Certificate, as well as copies of your guardian, parents or Spouse ID. If necessary, you will also need to provide proof of your income or 1 years IRPS. However, SASSA grant recipients are not required to provide proof of income. Additionally, please be sure to provide your own valid cellphone number and a working email address.

To apply for NSFAS financial aid for the 2023/2024 academic year, students will need to fill out an online application form. The form can be found on the NSFAS website (https://www.nsfas.org.za) and will be available from November 2nd, 2022 until 30th of November, 2022.
