Police arrest the wrong Sizok’thola Xolani after Tembisa shooting incident

Former Sizok’thola presenter Xolani Khumalo has found himself embroiled in a shooting incident which allegedly took place in Tembisa.

The alleged shooting of Xolani Shabangu on New Year’s Eve in the Motaung section has sent shockwaves through the township, with many questioning the motives behind the alleged attack.

According to reports, Shabangu was driving through the streets of Tembisa when a silver Ford Ranger began following him.

In a panic, Shabangu tried to evade his pursuers, but they continued to chase him, firing bullets at his vehicle.



The situation escalated when Shabangu arrived at his home and was shot in the arm by two assailants who had followed him from the bakkie.

Shabangu claimed that Xolani Khumalo was one of the shooters, leading to him opening a case of attempted murder against the former TV presenter.

The incident left Shabangu hospitalized with a gunshot wound, sparking fears and concerns within the community.

In a bizarre turn of events, detectives investigating the case mistakenly targeted the wrong individual, approaching the new Sizok’thola presenter, Xolani Maphanga, at his home.

Maphanga was shocked to find himself accused of a crime he had no involvement in and vehemently protested his innocence to the police officers.

After further investigation, it was revealed that Khumalo was the one which the case was opened against for the shooting incident, clearing Maphanga of any wrongdoing.
