Pirates set to sign another key player

Orlando Pirates were without a doubt big winners from the previous transfer window. With the Buccaneers shaking up the recruiting landscape as they signed three highly regarded players.

The experienced striker Ndumiso Mabena was reportedly a candidate for a return to Orlando Pirates earlier this month.

Following their legal dispute over unpaid salaries, the 35-year-old recently parted ways with Royal AM and his agency stated this month that three clubs may be interested in signing him.

Mabena has been training with the Orlando Pirates and is “set to sign,” claims online site Unplayable.

Prior to leaving to play for Platinum Stars in 2014, Mabena previously played with the Buccaneers from 2009 to 2014.

Many people believe that Pirates are the only team that has a chance to fight Mamelodi Sundowns for the championship this year as of the start of the new season, and the Bucs have made some significant power plays to strengthen their team even further.

The brilliant Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo was officially signed by Pirates as the transfer window closed at midnight on Thursday. Marumo Gallants signs the 27-year-old to a three-year contract with the Buccaneers for an unknown sum.

Pirates announced on Friday morning that they had signed Kermit Erasmus to a two-year contract. Romeo, as he is commonly called, rejoins the team after departing in 2016 to join French team Stade Rennais.
The seasoned forward, who was just cleared by his former company, joins the Buccaneers as their sixth senior acquisition of the year.

Not to be forgotten is the fact that Pirates also announced the signing of goalkeeper Sipho Chaine in the same statement about Erasmus. The 25-year-old agrees to a three-year contract after leaving Chippa United.

Orlando Pirates had a successful transfer window and showed no reluctance to spend big money to bring in the players they wanted for the next campaign.

Tapelo Xoki, Nkosinathi Sibisi, and Miguel Timm are among the other significant additions.
