Percy Tau Dismisses Al Ahly Exit Rumours and Focuses on AFCON Success
Percy Tau has broken his silence on recent speculations surrounding his potential exit from the Al Ahly.
The rumors have linked Tau with a return to his former club, Mamelodi Sundowns, and a possible move back to Europe.
The 29-year-old, who is currently representing South Africa at the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Ivory Coast, addressed the exit talk, categorically denying the speculation and emphasising his commitment to Al Ahly.
“That one I don’t know; it’s something that’s been written in the media because it’s incorrect,” Tau stated.
“I’m not gonna get involved in it, and I don’t know who started it. I’m not gonna go further in that one.”
“They must just get the right news and correct it. I don’t know who started this because it’s incorrect.”
“I still have a contract that I have with the team and still have to respect at the moment!”
Tau urged media outlets to ensure accuracy in their reporting, emphasising the importance of respecting his existing contract with Al Ahly.

“The focus is on the AFCON and trying to do something special here,” Tau added.
