Orlando Pirates release Nyauza and another player

Ntsikelelo Nyauza, who has been let go, and Linda Mntambo, who has since joined Sekhukhune United. Both left Orlando Pirates, according to the team’s statement.

Nyauza joined the Sea Robbers in January 2014. His eight-and-a-half-year spell comes to an end. Last season, the right-footed center-back was released by the Soweto giants. This happens after playing 20 times in the Premiership and seven times in the CAF Confederations Cup.

Mntambo’s, 33, decision to leave the Pirates is less shocking. Last season, even though most of the time he was a bench warmer. He made 15 appearances and scored three goals.

According to the team, “Orlando Pirates Football Club can confirm that midfielder Linda Mntambo has moved to Sekhukhune United after finalizing terms with the Club.”

As Babina Noko’s replacement for Yusuf Maart, who has since joined Kaizer Chiefs. Next season Mntambo will be expected to play a big role for Sekhukhune.

Mntambo is leaving the team as a player. But Pirates did add that they would be open to the possibility of working with him again in the future.

This will put an end to Sundowns football club’s three-season winning streak. To make way for new talent, it is important to release players who do not improve the teams.
