Orlando Pirates’ Olisah Ndah addresses European transfer rumours

Orlando Pirates defender Olisah Ndah has responded to growing rumors linking him with a move to Europe. Since joining the Buccaneers in 2021 from Akwa United, Ndah has impressed in the Betway Premiership, catching the attention of overseas clubs.

The 26-year-old centre-back’s strong performances have not only garnered interest from Europe but also earned him a call-up to Nigeria’s squad for this month’s Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against Benin and Rwanda.

Despite the transfer rumors, Ndah expressed his contentment at Orlando Pirates while also leaving the door open for future opportunities. “I’m happy at Pirates, but I’m always willing to listen to offers from overseas clubs,” he stated.

Ndah is also excited to be back with the Super Eagles squad in Uyo, where he received a warm welcome from his teammates. “I’m enjoying my time here. Being in Uyo feels like home because I’ve spent years here before,” said Ndah, who was part of the Super Eagles squad for the 2021 AFCON.

As Nigeria prepares to face Benin at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium on Saturday, Ndah hopes to secure a place in the starting line-up. After the Benin match, the Super Eagles will head to Kigali to face Rwanda in their second Group D clash of the AFCON qualifiers, with Libya completing the group.

Ndah’s focus now is on helping Nigeria qualify for AFCON 2024, while his future remains a topic of interest as European clubs continue to monitor his progress.
