Orlando Pirates offer Bafana Bafana star to PSL rivals in swop deal

One of the most stunning proposals in recent years comes from Orlando Pirates, who are offering one of their top Bafana Bafana players to their PSL rivals in a swop deal.

According to The South African, Pirates are willing to make a surprise swap deal with AmaZulu for Bafana Bafana striker Evidence Makgopa.

In an effort to land Usuthu star Makhehleni Makhaula, Pirates are prepared to trade three other Bucs players and Makgopa to AmaZulu in exchange for the midfielder Makhaula.

Given that Makgopa has only just begun his Bucs career, and Jose Riveiro intended to unleash his Bafana striker on the rest of the PSL when it resumes, this comes as a surprise.

When Riveiro arrived at Mayfair, one of the major names signed was Makgopa.

The most recent player values on Transfermarkt place his current market value at around R8 million. In other words, he contributes significantly to the Bucs’ efforts to entice Makhaula.

In an effort to land the Usuthu midfielder, Pirates are prepared to trade Makgopa for Sandile Mthethwa, Ntsako Makhubela, and Tebogo Tlolane in addition to Makgopa.

He has thus been listed as one of Riveiro’s top targets for the January transfer window.
In fact, Bucs management is already hard at work on their agreement.

“They want him in the next transfer window. They are already preparing an offer for AmaZulu,” the source confirmed
