Orlando Pirates to miss Olisa Ndah for rest of the year

Soweto giants Orlando Pirates have revealed that influential centre-back Olisa Ndah has been ruled out of action for the rest of the year due to injury.

On Monday, the Buccaneers said that Ndah suffered a tibia fracture during a match against Polokwane City last month and will need a long time to recover.

This is a significant setback for the Sea Robbers as they prepare to face newly promoted Magesi FC in the Carling Knock-out Cup on Saturday.

The Soweto giants recently made history by being the first team to win the MTN8 title three times in a row and are now aiming to add the Carling Knockout Cup to their collection.

What did Orlando Pirates say

“The Nigerian international, who missed the MTN8 final after getting injured in the league match against Polokwane City, is expected to be out for a long time.”

“The Bucs medical team confirmed that the 26-year-old has a tibia fracture. Because of the injury’s location and type, deciding on surgery isn’t easy, but based on this kind of injury, Ndah will be out for the rest of the year,” Pirates stated on their website.
