Orlando Pirates eye 4th signing from the same PSL club?
Orlando Pirates are always active during transfer windows, and new reports suggest they are interested in another player.
They are particularly looking for wingers, and the latest target is from Marumo Gallants and the Zimbabwe national team.
Orlando Pirates Target Daniel Msendami
Daniel Msendami, a 23-year-old winger, has played only four games for Marumo Gallants since moving from Jwaneng Galaxy in Botswana. Reports indicate that he has caught the attention of Orlando Pirates.
“What we are not sure of is whether it’s for January or next season but what I can tell you is that the technical team are believed to be happy with the player,” a source told Soccer Laduma.
“The good thing is he is still young and can join the club when they need him. But for now, it has just been inquiries.”
Previous Transfers from Marumo Gallants
In recent seasons, Orlando Pirates have signed three players from Marumo Gallants:
- Miguel Timm
- Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo
- Katlego Otladisa
Jose Riveiro on Mohau Nkota
Orlando Pirates fans are excited about Mohau Nkota, the latest young player to join the senior team. After a promising performance in a 3-2 loss to Magesi FC, coach Jose Riveiro is impressed with the 19-year-old.
“Mohau came in a difficult moment, in a moment of responsibility and he answered in the right way. If we decide to go with Mohau in the second half, it’s obviously because we know him very well, we know the moment he’s going through, he’s in a really good space,” Riveiro said via SABC.
“He’s pushing hard to get minutes and compete for getting minutes in a team like ours. I think immediately he came and generated problems for the opponent, one short of target I think inside the first three, four minutes he was on the field.
“He’s a tricky player to defend, where Magesi was reducing the spaces very close in the box, defending very, very low. Mohau is a player that is growing fast, he’s one of the players who are really competing to be on the field and that’s why in this case, the coach decides to give him the responsibility,” concluded the Orlando Pirates coach.
