New player sends message to Bucs coaches

Following his Man of the Match display against Mamelodi Sundowns in the MTN8 semi-final first leg at Orlando Stadium,  the new Pirates player Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo has sent a special note of appreciation to his new coaches.

The match was interesting, but it concluded in a scoreless draw, leaving the two in a similar position going into the second leg on October 22.

Ndlondlo, however, won his first Man of the Match awards while playing for the Pirates and thanked his new coaches for giving him an opportunity in the starting line-up in his debut game for the team.

He added on SuperSport TV, “It was a tough game, but we managed to come together as a team, and I also need to pay thanks to the technical team for believing in me.

“I needed to repay them because it was my first time playing for the team and they gave me a start. I appreciate them for this because we put up a good fight, so I believe it goes to them and the entire squad.

“The fact that we drew 0-0 was a part of the game,”

Ndlondlo adds that his first day of practice was very memorable and that his new coaches and teammates inspired him to keep playing the way that made him a star at Marumo Gallants.

It was a “hell of a day,” he continued, “it was like a dream to me.”

“I was forced to play for the biggest team on the continent out of the blue. I had to carry on the wonderful work I had been doing with my former team and apply it to the team, which was the biggest team in the nation.

The boys’ warm welcome was crucial to me because it had a significant impacton me. They pushed me and told me to keep playing the way I was because they thought I had shown them that I could do it.
