Musa Keys is expecting a baby
From A-Reece to Scelo Buthelezi, Blxckie, and now Musa Keys, the guys are stepping up and embracing the role of fatherhood.
In a recent photoshoot, the “Kancane” hitmaker posted pictures with his pregnant partner, captioning it “Love Wins.”
The post, which received over 1 million views, surprised many because Keys has always kept his personal life private.
One person commented, “I’m sorry but this is actually so audacious that it’s a serve😭😭😭 the hand on his belle [stomach] off [kills] me. Ykw [you know what], he’d have gotten pregnant if he could. Congrats to him🥳 and her,” while others pointed out that the focus seemed to be more on him than on his partner.
Another comment read, “He stole her shine and made sure to have the better poses too 😭like you’re not the prize, it should be all about her,” from @bigdracolena.
The twist is that one of the photos is actually the cover for his new album, Rirhandzu. So, it could be that the entire photoshoot was part of a clever marketing move for the album.
If this is the case, then it would be a genius move—almost like a publicity stunt, a tactic that was popular in the music industry back in the early 2000s.
In the past, musicians often used publicity stunts to get people talking, only for fans to later discover that they were dropping new music.
This approach was successful time and time again.
These days, however, some artists, like King Monada, simply drop an album with no prior announcement.
But to pull off a stunt like this, an artist needs to have confidence in their music and trust their fans to support the project, or else it could backfire.
