Moroka Swallows Face PSL Charges Over Fixture Controversy

“I can confirm that yesterday Moroka Swallows Football Club was charged for misconduct and bringing the league into disrepute pursuant to their failure to honor fixtures that were scheduled for the 27th and 30th of December 2023, respectively.”
The club is set to appear before the PSL Disciplinary Committee on January 11, 2024, at 11:00 am to address the allegations.
In response to the fixture cancellations and the ensuing controversy, Moroka Swallows issued an apology to fans.
The club expressed regret in a statement, saying:
“On behalf of Moroka Swallows FC, an apology is extended to all affected parties due to the cancellation of the following games against Mamelodi Sundowns FC and Golden Arrows FC.”
The apology suggests the club is acknowledging the impact of their actions on supporters and stakeholders.
