Man found dead in his car by the road

After a man was kidnapped from his home during a housebreaking. His body was found in his car.

An unidentified armed man in a mask is said to have ambushed a 41-year-old woman as she was out for a morning jog in Fichardtpark on 17 July 2022, at around 08:00. At gunpoint, the guy forced the victim back into the yard and demanded money.

The second suspect also followed suit and they managed to get her back into the house. The mom and her two kids, ages 14 and 4, were tied on their wrists and feet in the bedroom.

The suspects then ambushed the 46-year-old husband shortly after he arrived and pointed a gun at him as well.

The 46-year-old man was taken at gunpoint into his car, his hands and feet tied, and a plastic bag placed over his head.

The wife and kids were locked in the bedroom at the time when the suspects left in the husband’s car. The woman was able to free herself and looked for help.

A watch was issued for a dark gray Toyota Hilux with FS registration numbers after police were called to the scene.

The car was seen parked on the side of the road on the N1 just outside of Bloemfontein at around 13:30. According to additional evidence, there is a bloody African male in the back seat. The man was pronounced dead at the site after emergency personnel arrived.

Park road police are investigating a case of house robbery, kidnapping, and murder.

Opinion on the death of this man

This sounds like a murder-related documentary case we see on TV. Where the wife hires hitmen to kill her husband so she can file insurance claims. These culprits often add dramatic elements to the incident making it less suspicious, even if it involves children. In this situation, I believe there was foul play. This is premeditated murder.
