Malema’s remarks come in response to criticism from some South Africans who claim that the EFF encourages illegal immigration into the country.

However, Malema clarified that the policy has been misinterpreted.

“it is not true. There is no border that is going to be opened immediately. We will work on it gradually because we have a duty to unite the whole of Africa.

“It is not something you wake up and just say I don’t care about what is here.

“Comrades, there will not be illegal immigrants in South Africa. Everybody in South Africa is going to be documented, whether they came here, for whatever reason, we are going to be an Africa-friendly country.”
