Liverpool fan Trevor Noah adds SA flavour at Anfield for Jurgen Klopp’s final game

Among the well-wishers was renowned South African comedian Trevor Noah, who added a touch of levity to the emotional occasion.

As Klopp embraced Noah, who was clad in a Liverpool jersey, he quipped, “You can speak in a German accent!” Noah replied with a playful, “You ready? I’ll show you on the Instagram tour,” as Klopp invited him to join him.

It was a poignant moment for Klopp, who has steered Liverpool to a Premier League title, a Champions League triumph, and numerous other accolades during his time at the helm.

Noah, a Liverpool supporter, expressed his admiration for Klopp and his team.



“I was honoured to meet Mo Salah at a Reds’ pre-season fixture in New Jersey in 2018,” Noah said, referring to his previous encounter with one of Liverpool’s star players.

He also recalled attending the Champions League final in Kiev that year, which Liverpool unfortunately lost to Real Madrid due to errors by goalkeeper Loris Karius.

Despite the bittersweet ending, Klopp’s legacy at Liverpool will undoubtedly be remembered fondly. The German coach has left an indelible mark on the club, transforming them into one of the most formidable teams in Europe.
