Leaked audio |Killer cop says JMPD asked for it
Ipid said that it is looking into an altercation between two police officers in Braamfontein, Johannesburg, in which one of them died.
The incident took place early on Tuesday morning outside of a nightclub. The event, which was captured on camera and has since gone viral. Officer Zikalala, a JMPD K9 officer, met his maker after a dispute with a South African Police Service (SAPS) officer turned violent.

Zikalala was observed on Juta Street outside of a club approaching a parked car while brandishing a gun. At the time he was swearing and commanding the SAPS officer to exit the vehicle.
Another person can be seen attempting to stop Zikalala as he tries to slap the cop. The SAPS officer was seated on the driver seat during the failed effort to get slapped. In a short space of time, shots are fired, and he dropped dead and layed in a pool of blood.
There is also an audio file believed to be the voice note of the SAPS member. In the audio he justifies his actions.

“The JMPD wanted to shoot me outside of the vehicle; he kept on saying I should come outside of the car. I tried avoiding him, but he kept on saying, ‘Come out, come out.’ I could see that if I drive away, he will shoot me; he just wanted me out. The only option I had was to shoot and make sure I paralysed him. If I shot him in the hand, he was going to shoot back. I needed to paralyse him. Unfortunately, I am using a lethal weapon; he passed on. But he asked for it; JMPD asked for it,” said the SAPS officer
Ipid spokesperson Robbie Raburabu confirmed the incident.
“We are investigating a murder case; at this stage, no arrests made yet,” said Raburabu.
