Kaizer Chiefs to revisit Rayners interest?

Kaizer Chiefs are looking to bolster their squad after a disappointing season, and they may turn to Stellenbosch’s Iqraam Rayners once again.

Soccer Laduma has learned that Chiefs have had success with Stellenbosch in the past, bringing in players like Ashley Du Preez, Sibongiseni Mthethwa, and Zitha Kwinika.

According to sources, Chiefs are interested in adding Rayners to their squad and are prepared to test Stellenbosch’s resolve in keeping the striker.

While Stellenbosch have previously stated they have no intention of letting Rayners go, Chiefs are willing to negotiate for the player.

A source close to the situation revealed, “Chiefs have set up a meeting with Stellenbosch to discuss Rayners. Chiefs need a goal-scorer and Rayners has proven himself at every level.” Rayners has scored nine goals and provided six assists in 29 matches this season.

It remains to be seen if Chiefs will make an offer that Stellenbosch cannot refuse, or if they will need to explore other options for a striker.
