Kaizer Chiefs teenage striker not worried about Soweto Derby

Teenage striker Wandile Duba of Kaizer Chiefs has emphasized the team’s singular focus on their upcoming DStv Premiership clash against Golden Arrows, despite the looming prospect of the highly anticipated Soweto derby against Orlando Pirates on Saturday.

With Chiefs enduring a challenging season, marked by a lack of silverware for nearly a decade, Duba stressed the importance of maintaining concentration and commitment to immediate fixtures.

Reflecting on the goalless draw against Moroka Swallows, where he made a significant impact coming off the bench, Duba highlighted the team’s resilience and determination despite failing to secure a win.

“We have prepared for Arrows. We are ready for them and willing to give everything,” Duba stated, emphasizing the team’s readiness for the upcoming challenge.

Acknowledging the significance of the upcoming Soweto derby, Duba emphasized the team’s current priority on the Golden Arrows match.

“We know we play Pirates in the Derby on the weekend but we are only focused on Arrows for now. We can’t look ahead yet. We want to win the next game we play, and that is Golden Arrows,” Duba affirmed.

Duba’s recent appearances have provided him with valuable opportunities to showcase his talent and contribute to the team’s efforts.
