Kaizer Chiefs could lose a star player for this reason

One of Kaizer Chiefs’ star player may be on the verge of leaving the team. After it was discovered that he is in demand elsewhere.

Before the transfer window shuts the next week, Supersport united is considering making a last-minute offer for Chiefs middle fielder Phathushedzo Nange.

Nange is a prospective addition for Supersport coach Gavib Hunt to boost the side that needs experience.

Hunt is thought to have recommended the middle fielfer to the Chiefs management while he was still in charge of the Glamour boys. However Amakhosi was under a transfer ban at the time.

However, the 30-year-old is not on Kaizer Chiefs transfer list, and there have been no discussions about a potential loan move at the Naturena-based club. If Supersport ultimately decides to contact Chiefs, they will have to negotiate his transfer.

Should Supersport choose to formally approach Chiefs, soccer laduma examines elements that would cause Nange to consent to a move.

It was anticipated that Nange would eventually join the starting lineup even though others were more physically prepared than him.

Nange, however, appears to have slipped to the back in the Chiefs’ hierarchy of middle fielders.

In their most recent game against Marumo Gallants, Maart sustained an injury towards the end of the game and was replaced by Njabulo Blom, indicating that Zwane appears to be in favour of fresh signings and younger players in his team.

Given his prior associations with Hunt, Nange may have little choice but to start thinking about his future, and Supersport may be able to guarantee him a space in the starting lineup.

Nange can sign a pre-contract during the January transfer window even if his contract just has one season remaining to run.
Since the 30-year-old is not immediately on Zwane’s agenda, it would be better for Chiefs to make a profit on the player now rather than lose him for nothing at the conclusion of the season.
