JMPD intercept three men who were on their way to rob Naturena

A total of three men have been arrested in Naturena, Johannesburg, for conspiracy to commit a crime and possession of unlicensed firearms.

The Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD) tactical response unit received information on Sunday, January 7, about a planned robbery at Tinti’s restaurant and bar in Naturena.

Upon arriving at the scene, the officers spotted the suspects’ vehicle parked on the premises.

As the suspects were about to enter the bar, the law enforcement agents intercepted them, leading to a scuffle between the officers and the suspects. Three of the men were apprehended, while one managed to flee the scene.

The arrested individuals were taken to Mondeor South African Police Service (SAPS) for detention and are expected to appear in court soon.
