It never rains but it pours for former Kaizer Chiefs star Khama Billiat

Former Kaizer Chiefs star Khama Billiat experienced a disastrous turn of events during a Zimbabwe Castle Lager Premiership match while playing for Yadah Stars.

Billiat was shown a straight red card as Yadah suffered a 1-0 defeat against Herentals FC at Rufaro Stadium.

This setback comes on the heels of a promising performance by Billiat just a week earlier when he scored twice against Chicken Inn FC, signaling a potential turning point in his form.

However, his momentum was disrupted in the subsequent fixture against Herentals, reflecting the inconsistency that has characterized his tenure with Yadah so far.

Herentals wasted little time in asserting their dominance, with Godfrey Makambi finding the net just 11 minutes into the game.

Billiat’s frustration was compounded when he received a red card from referee Thanks Nyaungwe for remarks directed at the official rather than any physical altercation.

Reportedly displeased with the referee’s decision, Billiat left the stadium promptly, accompanied by his daughter who was in attendance.

Yadah coach Thomas Ruzive refrained from commenting extensively on Billiat’s dismissal, acknowledging its detrimental impact on the team’s performance.

The red card means that Billiat will be sidelined for an important fixture against Caps United, a significant blow for Yadah as they strive to climb out of the relegation zone with only 10 points secured thus far in the season.
