How much will it cost to dine with the President? R95 000-R200 000

How much will those who want to seat next to President Cyril Ramaphosa at the ANC’s presidential gala dinner have to cough up? Well, it will be between R95,000 and R200,000.

Before the ANC’s national elective conference, the Progressive Business Forum (PBF) organised the event on December 15 in Nasrec in Johannesburg.

The PBF is “required to promote and increase contact between the government, the ANC, and business,” according to ANC treasurer-general Paul Mashatile.

Mashatile said the PBF is the “locus of the social compact with business”, rooted in the commitment of the ANC to uphold the covenant made by the late former president Nelson Mandela.

The PBF, according to Mashatile, is the “locus of the social compact with business,” and it is founded on the ANC’s resolve to uphold the commitment made by the late former president Nelson Mandela.

Ramaphosa’s state of the country address from February 2020, in which the president said: “Let us admit that the government cannot tackle our economic difficulties alone,” was another example he used.

Mashatile added, “With these comments, the president urges businesses to collaborate with the ANC government, united to tackle the challenges of contemporary SA and to resolve them by ‘putting the economy on a road of inclusive growth.”
“I invite all business owners, business representatives, and citizens of SA to join the social compact with business, work together to address national concerns, and make sure we are utilizing our greatest assets for the best possible future.”
