Faith Nketsi’s husband on police wanted list

Rumours about Faith Nketsi’s marriage to her husband, Nzuzo Njilo, ending were circulating weeks back. It turns out the possible reason for the failed marriage is that Faith Nketsi’s husband is a fraudster. A close friend confirmed that Njilo fooled everyone into thinking that he is rich. Yesterday it was established that Njilo is not only broke but is also wanted by the police.

The police in Port Shepstone is seeking the assistance of community members in locating suspected fraudsters. Their warrants of arrest have been issued by the Port Shepstone Magistrate’s Court.

Nzuzo Nkuthalo Njilo and Kwanda Ntshangase are on the police’s wanted list in connection with a case of fraud. The two are alleged to have masqueraded as salesmen who pretended to be selling a truck in May 2021.The accomplice of faith Nketsi's husband

The unsuspecting buyer went and physically viewed the truck at a dealership in Boksburg and later paid the two a substantial amount of money. The truck was never delivered and since then the duo could not be contacted and their whereabouts remain unknown.

Police have uncovered that certain information on the sale agreement was fraudulent. Due to this, a criminal case was opened. The two are believed to be in the vicinity of Pietermaritzburg.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of these suspects is urged to contact Detective Warrant Officer Muzi Malunga at 076 9829 945 or 039-6881185.  Information will be treated with strict confidentiality. Tip-offs can also be relayed via the My SAPS App.

In a separate incident, the police are looking for a man who has failed to appear in court on charges of theft of motor vehicles and fraud.

People selling their vehicles on Facebook Marketplace are the target of the alleged motor vehicle thief and fraudster.

He contacts the seller and pretends to show interest in buying the vehicle for his girlfriend or wife as a birthday present. The suspect then requests the bank account of the seller so that he can transfer the money for the vehicle.

He then sends a notification informing the victim that the money will reflect in the bank account after a few days. The seller hands over the vehicle keys and papers of the vehicle. The seller gets scammed with the fake notification received on the cellphone. The alleged fraudster then sells the vehicle to a third party, which is usually a licensed vehicle dealership.

The suspect was caught red-handed by Welkom K9 police while trying to scam another seller. Sello, also known as Papa Khumalo, was positively identified by the victims and he appeared in Welkom Magistrate Court, where he was granted bail of R5 000. In November 2022, he failed to appear in court and thus the warrant for his arrest was issued. He is facing five charges of theft of motor vehicles and fraud. The crimes were committed in Winburg, Welkom, and Thabong.
