Chippa ward off lurking wolves by slapping R20 million price tag on Nwabali

Chippa United is facing a tough decision as they set an asking price for their highly sought-after player, Stanley Nwabali, who has been attracting interest from clubs in Europe and Saudi Arabia.

Nwabali’s impressive performances for Nigeria during the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast have put him in the spotlight and made him a hot commodity in the transfer market.

The 27-year-old goalkeeper has been a key figure in Chippa United’s squad since his arrival at the club in July 2022, showcasing his talent and skills on the field.

Now, with several top clubs expressing interest in acquiring his services, Chippa United has reportedly set a price tag of around R20 million for Nwabali.

According to sources close to the negotiations, clubs like Steven Gerrard’s Al Ettifaq in Saudi Arabia and Queens Park Rangers are among those that have made inquiries about signing Nwabali.

However, there are other teams also keen on securing the 1.96m tall goalkeeper’s signature.

Despite his contributions to Chippa United, Nwabali has expressed his desire to seek new challenges and further his career elsewhere.

With the club now openly stating their asking price, it remains to be seen which of the interested parties will emerge victorious in the race to sign the talented shot-stopper.
