CONFIRMED| Chippa United eyeing Sundowns Middlefielder
Chippa United head coach Kwanele Kopo has confirmed the club’s interest in acquiring Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Sammy Seabi for the 2024/25 Betway Premiership season.
The Chilli Boys have been actively strengthening their squad during the current transfer window in preparation for the upcoming season. They have secured the services of players like Andile Jali, Aphelele Teto, Boy Madingwane, Giovanni Philander, Thobani Jacobs, Sifiso Mazibuko, Blessing Jali, Gadinkame Modise, Azola Matrose, and Xolani Sithole.
In addition to their new signings, Chippa United extended the contract of their first-choice goalkeeper, Stanley Nwabali, for another three years, ending speculation about his future amidst interest from other clubs both domestically and internationally.
However, the club has also parted ways with several players, including Luvuyo Memela, Roscoe Petersen, Loydt Kazapua, Siyabonga Nhlapo, Siphelele Luthuli, Menzi Ndwandwe, Andile Fakude, Kamohelo Mahlatsi, Diego Apollis, Khanyisile Mayo, Siseko Manona, Yurig Conwood, and Andile Mbenyane.
