Chiefs star player will miss the Soweto derby

As the Chiefs enter a crucial part of the season, Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana’s injury could not have happened at a worse moment for them.

Following a shocking defeat to Chippa United on Saturday, the Chiefs will be eager to put their disappointment behind them and turn their attention to immediately making up for it in the league match against TS Galaxy on Wednesday at FNB stadium.

However, as the Chiefs get ready for the second leg of the MTN8 semi-finals against AmaZulu this Saturday, they have apparently recently suffered a significant injury setback at the worst possible time.

Star striker Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana is reportedly out for the next four weeks due to an injury, according to SABC Sport.
The towering forward has been one of the Chiefs’ most important players this year, and his absence will be greatly felt, particularly at a time when they have struggled to find their best form in front of the goal.

If the injury does really sideline him for a month, he will also be unable to play in the crucial Soweto derby against the Chiefs on October 29 at FNB stadium.

Given that Amakhosi have previously been lacking in goalscoring firepower, that would be a significant blow to the Chiefs’ hopes of securing the desired victory in that match.
Before facing TS Galaxy at FNB Stadium on Wednesday, the Chiefs will have two training sessions to make up for the mistakes they committed in Durban over the weekend.

Chiefs and Galaxy will square off for the first time this season, with Galaxy having extra preparation time given that their most recent match ended in a scoreless draw on October 8 against Swallows FC.

Coach Arthur Zwane must take great care to prevent his team from looking ahead to the crucial MTN8 semifinal encounter against AmaZulu this coming weekend, as they are in dire need of the three points against

We are taking each game as it comes. Coach Zwane says, “We need to concentrate on the game against TS Galaxy on Wednesday and make sure we perform well at home. Additionally, we prepare for Wednesday since we treat league and cup games differently. We’re going to go out there and do our best.

Galaxy is in 10th place and the Chiefs are still in fourth place on the log.
