Events leading to her death
Busisiwe was excused from work because she was ill. When she failed to show up for work, coworkers reached out to her family. Her father went to Busisiwe’s house as soon as he was informed and discovered her in her daughter’s room.
“I shook her because I believed she was asleep, but you wouldn’t anticipate such from a strong and healthy person. For me, there was nothing she couldn’t do “He said.
“He called the police. The police then called for an ambulance. At 11.15 p.m., Busi was pronounced dead. The family was inconsolable, Sonti said.
The star, best known for playing Tumi Sello in the 2020 Netflix family comedy “How to Ruin Christmas,” leaves with her father and daughter Ayana behind.
Brian Makau, Lurayi’s manager and close friend, said the star had a bright future ahead of her and would be able to find work for the following two years.
Busi was said to have given the industry her all. She would always land the part when she went for a casting. When it came to casting, she wouldn’t attend. She won every Safta nomination that she received.
She had strong feelings for the projects she took on. Her performances have powerful energy. She always gave her everything on stage,” remarked Makau.
