Boyfriend brutally kills lover and her 73-year-old mother
Police in Tlhabane are searching for a suspect after the tragic murder of a 37-year-old woman and her 73-year-old mother in Matlhatsimarwana Section, Lefaragatlhe village outside Rustenburg. The incident occurred on Sunday morning, January 14, 2024.
According to reports, the 37-year-old woman was attacked and stabbed multiple times by her boyfriend without any apparent reason.
After assaulting his girlfriend, the suspect proceeded to the room where he stabbed the elderly woman before fleeing on foot.
The elderly woman was pronounced dead at the scene, while her daughter, who leaves behind a five-month-old baby, succumbed to her injuries at Job Shimankane Tabane Hospital in Rustenburg.

Despite efforts to trace the suspect at his rented place, he was not found. The motive for the incident is yet to be determined, and investigations are ongoing.
