Bantu Mzwakali (30) Joins Al-Shaeib FC in Luxurious Saudi Arabia
South African midfielder Bantu Mzwakali, a seasoned player with a career spanning Ajax Cape Town, Bidvest Wits, and Moroka Swallows, has embarked on a new footballing journey in the Middle East.
The 30-year-old has officially completed his move to Saudi Arabian second division side Al-Shaeib FC, marking a significant chapter in his diverse career.
Bantu Mzwakali’s Football Journey
Mzwakali’s journey in professional football began in Cape Town, and over the years, he has showcased his skills at various South African clubs, including Ajax Cape Town, Bidvest Wits, and Moroka Swallows.
However, his wanderlust took him beyond the borders of South Africa, and for the past two years, he plied his trade in Europe, specifically in Georgia.
During his time at Shakura FC in Georgia, Mzwakali left a lasting impact, contributing with three goals and two assists within a span of six months.
His performances earned him recognition, making him a player to watch in the Georgian league.
Following the expiration of his contract with FC Dila in the same league as Shakura, Mzwakali sought a new challenge.
Now, the 30-year-old winger has officially joined Al-Shaeib FC in the Saudi Arabian second division on a short-term contract.
The Riyadh-based club currently sits in 15th place with 13 points after 19 matches.
Bantu Mzwakali has not provided a statement on the move.
