The Bafana Bafana star has been a consistent performer for both Sundowns and the national team.

He recently featured prominently in the Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) campaign, starting his sixth match of the tournament against Nigeria.

Modiba’s impressive form during the Afcon has likely contributed to the reported European interest.

What’s next for Aubrey Modiba

As the player concludes the Afcon campaign, he may take some rest before returning to Sundowns, who are scheduled to resume their Premier Soccer League campaign with a match against Golden Arrows on February 14.

The contract extension suggests that Sundowns is keen on retaining Modiba’s services amid growing attention from overseas clubs.
