Anthony Joshua can float like a butterfly and sting Ngannou like a bee – heavyweight boxer gives opinion ahead of big Saudi Arabia clash

Swedish heavyweight Otto Wallin expressed surprise at Francis Ngannou’s knockdown of Tyson Fury but remains unconvinced that a similar outcome will occur when Ngannou faces Anthony Joshua in Saudi Arabia on Friday.

Ngannou, a former UFC heavyweight champion, stunned the boxing world by dropping Fury in their bout last October, despite ultimately losing the match.

Wallin, who himself faced Fury in a world title fight in 2019, shared his insights on the upcoming clash between Ngannou and Joshua.

“A guy like Ngannou, who is that big and who hits that hard, always has a chance, but I’m having a hard time seeing him beating Joshua,” Wallin told Reuters from his training base in New York.

After experiencing a defeat to Joshua in December, Wallin acknowledged the British boxer’s skills and resilience.

Reflecting on his own encounter with Joshua, Wallin praised the former world champion’s strategic prowess and power in the ring.

“Joshua was good — big, strong, long reach, he countered well,” Wallin remarked, highlighting Joshua’s tactical strengths.

Despite Ngannou’s impressive showing against Fury, Wallin emphasized that the Cameroon-born fighter faces a formidable opponent in Joshua.

Ngannou’s resilience and power may pose a threat, but Wallin believes that Joshua’s strategic abilities and experience will likely secure the victory in their impending showdown.

Wallin’s insights offer a glimpse into the dynamics of the heavyweight boxing landscape, highlighting the anticipation and intrigue surrounding the upcoming clash between Joshua and Ngannou.
