Angry mob beats man to death for stealing maize cobs

A man was brutally killed by an angry mob after accusing him of stealing maize cobs.

The tragic incident serves as a stark reminder of the devastating consequences that can arise when individuals take the law into their own hands.

Police reports indicate that a group of people attacked the unidentified man after he was apprehended by Gift Kamuripa, the owner of the maize field.

The situation quickly spiraled out of control as the mob unleashed their fury on the accused thief, leading to his untimely death.

Speaking on the incident, Police spokesperson, Mike Madiro, condemned the act of vigilantism, stating, “Mob justice has no place in a civilized society. It is imperative that such cases are handled through legal channels to ensure justice is served.”
