Agent considering Andile Jali’s future in football
IDiskiTimes reports that Mike Makaab, the agent of Andile Jali, has disclosed that he recently met with the former Mamelodi Sundowns and Moroka Swallows midfielder to discuss his future. Jali, 34, has been without a club since leaving Swallows in January due to a financial dispute.
As a free agent, he has the option to sign with any club, but he is also contemplating retirement and plans to make a decision within the next two weeks.
“Andile and I had a meeting, we discussed a lot of things. We both agreed, he’s mature about it, that he needs to make a decision whether he wants to continue or not,” he said on Gagasi FM
“He’s 100% committed to making a decision that he will stick to. If he decides that he is going to continue playing, I can guarantee you he will get himself into great shape and he’s going to be ready for the new season because he is a man, who still has – in my opinion – a couple of seasons and unfinished business.
“But he did inform me, that if there is any element of doubt in his mind as to whether he has that desire, appetite to continue playing, any doubt, he won’t play, he’ll announce his retirement.
“So I’m expecting him to make a decision in the next week, maximum two weeks for AJ to make up his mind and then for us to sit down and look at opportunities for him, based on whichever way he decides to go.”
