Police officer shoots and kills three in a love triangle gone wrong

A few months ago, a police officer stunned the country when he shot and killed his wife at Tembisa Hospital before turning the pistol on himself. It appears that the same tragedy has occurred once more. This time a policeman fired shots at his girlfriend and her supposed lover before turning the gun on himself.

Police claim that a Limpopo constable fatally shot his girlfriend and her accused lover in Polokwane’s Seshego Zone 3 before turning the gun on himself.

According to police spokesperson Malesela Ledwaba, two murder dockets and an inquest docket have been opened.

This incident took place in his Seshego rental room.

According to reports, the policeman discovered his girlfriend and another man, whom he thought to be her lover.

The police officer is accused of shooting the guy, woman, and himself in a triangle of love. It’s unclear whether he used a service gun even though he was wearing a police uniform when the incident occurred.

The investigation is still being conducted at this time.

It is unsettlingly that police officers regularly kill their partners before committing suicide. This shows the urgency for police officers to undergo regular mental health evaluations. This will make it easier to assess if the police officers still qualify to possess their service weapons. It will also help limit the frequency of such tragedies.
