Sundowns did not deserve any points from this match, as they failed to register a single shot on target throughout the game.

Despite this loss, Sundowns remain second in the league, three points behind leaders Orlando Pirates after four matches.

The Brazilians had to cope without two regulars: Ronwen Williams and Lucas Ribeiro.

Williams is attending Monday’s Ballon d’Or Awards, while the Brazilian forward Ribeiro was serving a suspension.

In the other match, Cape Town City and Magesi FC at Athlone Stadium ended in a goalless draw.
