Bayern Munich players angry after their wives and girlfriends were banned from travelling for Champions League tie with Arsenal

Bayern Munich’s preparations for their Champions League clash with Arsenal have been marred by frustration as the club’s players’ partners have been left at home instead of traveling to London for the match.

The absence of the Wags comes amidst a backdrop of disappointment within the team following recent Bundesliga defeats and a lack of tickets for family members and loved ones for the upcoming fixture.

According to Bild, the decision to restrict the presence of partners and families at the match has added to the existing tensions within the Bayern Munich camp.

A ban on away fans has limited the allocation of tickets typically reserved for players’ loved ones, including partners, children, parents, friends, and agents.

Consequently, the German giants are set to be supported by a smaller contingent of around 200 sponsors and honorary fans in North London.

While the partners of some players, such as Joshua Kimmich, Konrad Laimer, and Eric Dier, were reportedly seen flying to London on Monday, the overall restriction on family attendance has left a sense of disappointment among the Bayern Munich squad.

The suspension of away fans stems from previous incidents involving pyrotechnics during matches, leading to a stricter enforcement of regulations by UEFA.
