2 Nigerian man caught busy distributing drugs
Two Nigerian Nationals, Emengini Ifeanyi Kingsley (26) and Mark Aniachuna (28) were kept in custody after appearing in the Bafokeng Magistrates’ Court on Monday, March 18, 2024.
They face charges of drug possession and possession of suspected stolen goods. Their next court appearance is scheduled for Monday, March 25, 2024, for status verification and bail application.
The arrests happened on Thursday, March 14, 2024, when Tlhabane Visible Policing members conducted an operation based on Crime Intelligence. Information suggested that the suspects were distributing drugs from a white Volkswagen Polo in Tlhabane and Rustenburg North.
After surveillance, the police intercepted the suspects’ vehicle on Lebone Street, Tlhabane. The occupants, two Nigerian nationals, could not confirm their legal status in the country. Upon searching them, the police found two half-moons and 16 small pieces of rock drugs, a router, and eight cell phones.
Investigations are ongoing, and the suspects may face charges related to violating the Immigration Act, 2002.
