Zimbabwean MP Scott Sakupwanya allegedly lures Khama Billiat to less fancied Yadah FC. Set to be unveiled tonight
Yadah FC’s move to snatch Khama Billiat from Dynamos has certainly caused a stir in the Zimbabwean football scene.
The Premier Soccer League club has finally broken their silence on the matter, with an official speaking out about the decision to sign the former Warriors striker.
In a statement to The Herald, the club’s official emphasized that it would not make sense to pay a significant amount of money for a player like Khama Billiat and then loan him out to another local team without recouping their investment.
This decision indicates that Yadah FC is serious about utilizing Khama’s talents within their own squad rather than sending him out on loan.
The official also highlighted the uncertainty surrounding Khama’s long-term future in football, stating that the club is not sure if the player will continue playing beyond the current season.
This cautious approach reflects Yadah FC’s strategic thinking when it comes to player acquisitions and team building.
The Khama Billiat saga took an interesting turn when Manica Diamonds entered the picture with an enticing offer for the player.
As he was about to sign the contract, his team told him to wait and Scott Sakupwanya, a shareholder at Yadah FC, approached Khama with a better deal than Manica Diamonds.
Yadah FC managed to outbid their competitors and secure Khama’s signature with a better deal.
