Where should Khama Billiat go?

Khama Billiat was once the darling of South African football, the pride of his native Zimbabwe and one of the best players to have played in the PSL in recent years.

In the 2015/16 season, Billiat was rightly named PSL Player of the Season.

He was part of the deadly Mamelodi Sundowns trio, along with Keegan Dolly and Leonardo Castro.

This combination was revived at Kaizer Chiefs, but the three players failed to perform as well as they did at Downs.
A few years later, Billiat’s star faded, but Chiefs held on to him.

The club offered him a contract extension with a pay cut, which Billiat refused, showing how much he knows his value.

Since then, he has been linked to several moves, but nothing has come of it.

But he’s a free agent, so he can join any team

Billiat and his options

According to GOAL Cape Town Spurs chairman John Comitis was keen to pounce on the 33-year-old.

Billiat terrorized defenders with Ajax Cape Town, now known as Cape Town Spurs. There he caught the eye of Pitso Mosimane, who took him to Chloorkop, where he made a name for himself.

However, he left City disappointed as Khama wanted a more lucrative contract.

It’s probably not a stretch to say that TS Galaxy is the retirement home of South African football.

Club president Tim Skadi and head coach Sead Ramovic have always been open to players past their prime.
Bernard Parker, Lenilwe Lesholonyane, Lindokule Mbata, Thamsanka Gabuza, and Vuyo Mele are all players who had better years in their careers and have since joined the Rockets as they think about retirement.

Billiat fits the bill and given his historical talent, Ramovic may be interested.

A return home may also be a option for Billiat.

He only played for one team, Caps United, during his professional career in Zimbabwe.

With the PSL situation looking delayed, it would be great if Billiat finishes his career in his country. The public would be happy to see a CAF Champions League winner and a player with FIFA Club World Cup experience.
