20-year-old woman brutally kills her husband
The police at Naboomspruit in Waterberg District have arrested a 20-year-old woman in connection with the brutal murder of her alleged 25-year-old husband. The incident took place on a farm outside Mookgophong on Monday, 10 April 2023 at about 05:00 in the morning.
It is alleged that in the morning in question, the couple had a heated argument. According to the Information, the suspect (wife) accused her husband (deceased) of having an affair. She allegedly stabbed her husband with a sharp object on the upper body. The victim was taken to the hospital where he was certified dead on arrival. The 20-year-old suspect was arrested.

The Provincial Commissioner of the South African Police Service, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has condemned the incident. “People experiencing relationship challenges are urged to seek professional assistance” concluded Lieutenant General Hadebe.
The suspect will appear before Mookgophong Magistrates’ Court soon on a charge of murder.
In a separate incident a 27-year-old male suspect, who allegedly stoned his 23-year-old ex-girlfriend and who is also his baby’s mom at Dzingidzingi village, on Saturday 08 April 2023 has been arrested today.

The suspect handed himself at Giyani police station accompanied by his relative after he allegedly fled to the Malamulele policing area.
It is alleged, that the victim was with her friend coming from the local tavern and going home when they met her ex-boyfriend. It is alleged that the two had a confrontation before the suspect assaulted the victim with a stone. Her friend screamed for help and ran to nearby households, when she return the victim was critically injured and unconscious. The suspect was nowhere to be found.
The victim was rushed to the hospital where she later succumbed to the injuries. She was identified as Nokuthula Sithole aged 23 from Dzingidzingi village in Giyani, Mopàni District.
The Police were informed, a case of murder was opened and a manhunt was immediately activated until the suspect handed himself over to the police.
The suspect will appear before the Giyani Magistrate’s Court soon facing charges of murder.
The Police investigations are continuing.
